No Place Like Home

After a 10 year absence, I am back living in my hometown. I never wanted to leave, so it is nice to be able to come back and have my new son grow up in the same city I did. The new place is pretty nice as well. It's a lot bigger than the old place and is definitely a house that will leave us with plenty room to grow.

Reflections...

I've had more than my fair share of ups and downs in the past 12 months. There were even times when I was going through hell and thought I would never make it out. I just didn't understand why I was meant to go through such things. Eventually I was able to take a step back, look at the big picture, and learn from it.

Since that time I have gone out of my way to learn from every experience. I now stand in this world as a loving husband, a new father, and most importantly a man strong in his faith. It has been a long and sometimes painful road, but now I am here...and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Braveheart III Has Arrived

Braveheart III was born on July 26, 2009 which finally allowed me to go by the name Papi. I love the little guy and I've had a lot of fun getting to know him. I had never held a newborn before him so I was a little worried, but I think I'm doing pretty well. Judge my technique for yourself... ;-)

Every dad I knew told me I was going to be in for a treat and they were right. Becoming a father has been one of the greatest things in my life. I may be a little sleep deprived, but I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world.
