No Sleepy

I don't know if I am just anxious about the holidays or if I just have a lot on my mind, but I just cannot get to sleep tonight. The doc told me to take melatonin to help me sleep, but now it's too late to take it because I have to be awake in a few hours for my last day of work for the week. It's times like these I really wish I had my own business so I could just give myself a vacation day or a half day. Oh well, I will have to wait for that. Now it's off to try and finally get to sleep.

Alma Mater Doing It Big!!

I passed by the campus last week and saw the construction site for the new Engineering complex they are building. They are going all out for this. A whole area of the campus is going to be designated as an Engineering area complete with its own grass commons area. This is going to be a very big deal once it is complete and should enhance the reputation of the College of Engineering even higher than it already is currently.

This is making me really start to think about going back to school one more time to get the PhD degree. I think it would be pretty nice to be a completely homegrown Maverick PhD graduate. Who knows, I might even end up working for the university someday...

Woot Woot!!!

Hi...
My name is Will... and I'm a Wootaholic...

If you haven't heard of Woot by now, you are greatly missing out. It is an online store that sells one item a day. It is usually some electronic device at a greatly discounted price. Occasionally, Woot will have a Woot-Off, a 24 - 48 period where they sell multiple items back-to-back and they don't stop until all the items have sold. There is one going on right now so check it out. Let's hope I don't beat you to the sales though. I've already bought one item in the Woot-Off tonight, just don't tell Mrs. Braveheart. She already thinks I have a Woot problem, haha!!

First Christmas Card Portrait

So now that I am trying to be Mr. Amateur Photographer I decided that I would try to take a family portrait to send out with Christmas cards. I have never really tried to take a portrait photo before and we don't have any kind of lighting we really need. So I made do with what we had here at home and I took what I thought were a few nice pictures. Here is my favorite picture of the bunch.
