Stop Calling Me Your Friend!!

Everyone, after watching the presidential town hall debate last night I have decided to create a new drinking game for all those students on college campuses. If you play it I can guarantee that you will be sloppy drunk thirty minutes into the debate. The rules are simple... Every time John McCain says "my friend" or "my friends" you must take a shot.

Last night McCain said those two words over thirty times. After the fifth time I couldn't help but start laughing because if you watched him as he spoke it didn't seem like he was engaging anyone in the audience. He is completely out of touch with the average American people, so I think it's funny he calls us his friends. He wants us to look at his record in Congress and let that be the judge, but I prefer to look at his entire life as his record. I give him credit for surviving all those years as a Vietnam P.O.W. because it took one tough s.o.b. to go through that and not only make it out alive, but return and live a normal life. Well almost normal... What he did when he got back from Vietnam is what disturbs me the most about him.

Sen. McCain was married when he first went to Vietnam and while he was imprisoned there his wife got into an accident and became paralyzed and disabled. McCain did not know this until he returned home. How did he handle the news? He began cheating on his then wife with a rich woman named Cindy Hensley... Ms. Hensley would later become the Mrs. McCain we see with him on the campaign trail. So basically, the guy bailed on his wife when she probably needed him the most. Now I do admit that McCain has taken care of his first wife financially and continues to do so, but I just don't know that I would trust a man that would do something like that with an entire country.

So I am 100% an Obama supporter and I believe he is a man of the people. America needs a change after having over 200 years of presidents who all "look the same"... I'll leave it to you to figure that one out, but I think we all know that Obama would bring something different to the White House and I for one look forward to seeing it happen.

GMail Just Added a Life Saving Feature!!

I took a look at the GMail blog today and saw an interesting post. GMail has created a new add on feature called Mail Goggles. Basically it is a play on beer goggles. I'm sure many of us have sent an email in the middle of the night while we were "under the influence" of life and wished we had stopped ourselves. This is where Mail Goggles comes in to save the day. If Mail goggles is enabled it will automatically make you answer questions to make sure you are in the right state of mind before it will send the message. Don't worry, it won't make you do it for all emails, just ones sent late at night or during a period of time you configure.

This should be pretty interesting if people start using it. I can already see all the drunk college girls who will be giving testimonial quotes....

"I had been out partying all night and when I got home I began to feel lonely. I had the urge to email my stupid ex-boyfriend Justin Bobby, but Mail Goggles made me stop. I love Mail Goggles and I wouldn't use anything else." - Audrina

(Fans of The Hills will catch that...)
