GMail Just Added a Life Saving Feature!!

I took a look at the GMail blog today and saw an interesting post. GMail has created a new add on feature called Mail Goggles. Basically it is a play on beer goggles. I'm sure many of us have sent an email in the middle of the night while we were "under the influence" of life and wished we had stopped ourselves. This is where Mail Goggles comes in to save the day. If Mail goggles is enabled it will automatically make you answer questions to make sure you are in the right state of mind before it will send the message. Don't worry, it won't make you do it for all emails, just ones sent late at night or during a period of time you configure.

This should be pretty interesting if people start using it. I can already see all the drunk college girls who will be giving testimonial quotes....

"I had been out partying all night and when I got home I began to feel lonely. I had the urge to email my stupid ex-boyfriend Justin Bobby, but Mail Goggles made me stop. I love Mail Goggles and I wouldn't use anything else." - Audrina

(Fans of The Hills will catch that...)

I Am Xbox 360!!

So I am finally up to date with the gaming consoles. Yes, I now how an Xbox 360. I have been hanging onto my original Xbox for a long time now and decided to finally upgrade now that the Pro console was out. The only problem now is that I don't have any games and since I have fallen out of the loop on the 360 I don't really know what any of the good games are. I mean I know I can get Madden or any of the other EA titles, but I'm looking for some good action or role playing games.

So if anyone has any good suggestions on games send them my way. Then just give me a couple weeks to play them and then we can do some battles online via Live...

Can't Sleep... Reflecting

It's 2am, I can't sleep, and I'm having one of my weird moments of deep thought...

Ever since I finished my Master's thesis I have felt kind of lost. The thesis was a lot of work, and was quite the pain in the ass at times, but I just really enjoyed it. Then when I finished and graduated I had this sudden drop off where I didn't know what I was supposed to be doing. I felt like one of those guys who work for 30 years and then start to go crazy when they finally get to retire. Recently I've finally started to come out of the woods and figure out what it is that I want to do next. I already have the decent paying job, but I want more. I'm thinking I may want to go for the PhD so I can finally get out of the cubicle wars. I actually just ordered a GRE study guide so I can finally take the exam at some point to keep my options open. I just know I will get it all figured out and I will find myself on whatever path I am destined to travel.

Listerine Kills More than Germs!!

So last night I noticed my crown on the lower left side of my mouth started to feel a little loose, which has happened before, so I called and left a message for the dentist so I could come in and get it checked out. I just assumed that the cement on the crown had worn and that they would have to re-cement it. Boy was I wrong...

Today at work I sat down my desk at lunch time and was tearing through my Bowl of Seoul from Genghis Grill (delicious by the way!!)and was just enjoying myself. After I finished I realized that my breath was probably pretty rank and that I should probably run some mouthwash through there so when I talked to people they wouldn't turn away in disgust. So I pull out my travel bottle of Listerine and start swishing away. Just as I was about to get ready to spit out the Listerine I felt my crown come all the way off. So I kind of freaked out a little and spit out my mouthwash so I could take a look at my crown. So I look at the crown and see that it's not just that, it's also about 2/3 of my tooth with it!!! I freaked out even more and pretty much ran to my dentist and an hour later I had a prescription for antibiotics and and infected tooth that will be fully removed next week. :-(

The moral of the story?? Kids, always brush and floss two times a day!!

Changes

I've recently made a conscious decision to make a change in my life. I had let myself fall into the dangerous pattern of being on of those people that just don't do much. I would go to work each day and then come home and spend my evenings in front of the computer or television until I fell asleep... and then repeat the next day. As you can imagine, that can grow very boring after a while. So those days are done. I look forward to doing more and actually spending time doing more meaningful things.

Hello world... the real Braveheart is back!!!
